Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 24 February 2026

Unaryx ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Suna mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

To provide the Suna experience, we collect the following data:

  • Account Data: Your email address, chosen "Hero Name" (username), and selected avatar/profile photo.

  • Location Data: Precise GPS location data (latitude and longitude). We collect this in the foreground and in the background (if you grant "Always Allow" permission) to trigger proximity alerts for landmarks and "World Events."

  • Gameplay & Device Data: Your unlocked cities, XP, visited landmarks, preferred categories, and device diagnostics/crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics).

  • User-Generated Content: Photos you upload, location names, and descriptions you provide when "Scouting."

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate your account via email OTP.

  • To operate the core game loop (verifying you are within 50m-100m of a landmark to grant XP).

  • To power the "Guild Leaderboard" and allow friends to add you to their "Party."

  • To moderate content and investigate user reports.

  • To send push notifications regarding nearby landmarks, completed quests, and alliance requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers to operate the App:

  • Supabase: Our backend provider (hosts database, user authentication, and photo storage).

  • Apple: For processing in-app purchases and mapping services (MapKit).

  • Google Firebase: For anonymous crash reporting (Crashlytics) to fix bugs.

Note on Public Profile: Your Hero Name, Avatar, Level, XP, and approved landmark photos are visible to other users on the Guild Leaderboard and map pins.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active.

  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account via the "Settings" menu. This triggers a secure backend process that instantly wipes your profile, visit history, bucket list, and social connections from our database.

  • Content Deletion: If you upload a photo that is rejected by our moderation team, it is permanently deleted from our servers.

5. International Data Transfers

Our backend databases (Supabase) may be located in regions outside of your home country. By using Suna, you consent to the transfer of your data to these servers. We ensure that our service providers adhere to strict, internationally recognized data protection standards.

6. Regional Privacy Rights

A. Malaysia (Personal Data Protection Act 2010 - PDPA)

As a Malaysian entity, we process your data in compliance with the PDPA. You have the right to request access to your personal data, request corrections, and withdraw your consent for us to process your data (by deleting your account). Contact us at the email below for data inquiries.

B. Australia (Privacy Act 1988 - APPs)

We adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles. You have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you. If you believe we have breached the APPs, you may submit a complaint to us, and if unsatisfied, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

C. Indonesia (Personal Data Protection Law - Law No. 27 of 2022)

By signing up, you explicitly consent to the collection of your data as outlined in this policy. You have the right to access, correct, delete, and delay the processing of your data. In the event of a severe data breach compromising your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant Indonesian regulatory authorities within 72 hours.

D. South Korea (Personal Information Protection Act - PIPA)

  • Consent: We require explicit consent for tracking your precise location, which is gathered via iOS system prompts.

  • Destruction of Data: When you delete your account, your personal data is destroyed without delay in an irreversible manner (via our edge functions), unless retention is required by law.

  • Data Subject Rights: You may exercise your rights to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of your personal information at any time via the App settings or by contacting us.

E. Supplemental Notice for California Residents

This section applies solely to residents of the State of California ("consumers" or "you") and supplements the information contained in our general Privacy Policy. We adopt this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, "CCPA").

1. Information We Collect and Disclose

In the preceding 12 months, Suna has collected (and may disclose to third-party service providers for business operational purposes) the following categories of personal information to provide our personalized trip planning and situation-aware curation services:

  • Identifiers: Name, email address, unique device identifiers, and IP address.

  • Commercial Information: Saved places, travel preferences, and itinerary histories.

  • Internet or Electronic Network Activity: App interactions, search history, and engagement with recommended curation cards.

  • Inferences: Profiles reflecting your travel behavior, favorite aesthetics, and venue preferences drawn from the data above.

2. Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, you possess the following specific rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Know/Access: You have the right to request what personal information we collect, use, disclose, share, or sell.

  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information maintained about you.

  • Right to Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information: Because Suna utilizes precise geolocation to deliver situational context, you have the right to limit our use of this information to only what is strictly necessary to perform our services. You can manage precise location tracking at any time via your mobile device system settings.

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: Suna does not sell your personal data for monetary compensation. However, if we engage in cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., retargeting you on external platforms like YouTube or Google), this may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA. You have the right to opt out of this sharing. Suna honors automated Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signals.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you (such as denying services or charging different rates) for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

3. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise your right to know, delete, correct, or limit your data, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by emailing us at hello@unaryx.com with the subject line "CCPA Request." Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Suna is not intended for children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If we discover that a child under 14 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
