Terms and Conditions – TravelMug

Welcome to TravelMug! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TravelMug mobile application ("App"), operated by Unaryx ("we," "us," or "our"), a sole proprietorship registered in Malaysia.

By downloading, accessing, or using TravelMug, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Account Registration

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 14 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use this App.

  • Authentication: TravelMug uses a passwordless One-Time Password (OTP) system via email. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email account.

  • Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time via the in-app Settings. Deletion is irreversible and will erase all your unlocked cities, visit history, and XP.

2. Location-Based Services

TravelMug is a location-based game. To function correctly, the App requires access to your device's precise location, including background location access (to notify you when you discover new landmarks). By granting location permissions, you understand and agree that we will collect and process your GPS data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Please remain aware of your real-world surroundings and prioritize your personal safety while exploring.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

TravelMug offers in-app purchases, including Consumable Tokens ("City Unlock Token") and Auto-Renewable Subscriptions ("TravelMug Premium"). Payments are processed through Apple's App Store.

  • Consumables: Tokens are single-use and cannot be refunded or transferred.

  • Premium Subscriptions: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

  • Management: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Moderation

TravelMug allows users to submit photos, report temporary "World Events," and propose new permanent landmarks ("Scouting"). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it within the App.

  • Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content: You agree not to upload abusive, offensive, sexually explicit, defamatory, or copyright-infringing content.

  • Moderation & Bans: We employ an Admin Moderation system. We reserve the right to reject/delete your photos or event submissions, revoke your XP, and permanently ban your account without prior notice if you violate these rules. Users can report inappropriate content or locations in the App.

5. Intellectual Property

All original content, features, and functionality of the App (excluding user-submitted photos), including the "TravelMug" name, logo, UI/UX, and game mechanics, are owned by Unaryx and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Unaryx shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including physical injury, property damage, or loss of data, arising out of your use of the App. You explore the real world at your own risk.

7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
